Relationship between the ABO blood group and mortality among the COVID-19 patients

Objective: Differences in blood group antigen expression may increase or decrease the sensitivity of host to many infections. Our aim this study is examine relationship between ABO and Rh groups COVID-19 patients their mortality.
 Material Method: This retrospective observational was conducted with who were diagnosed emergency department a tertiary hospital May 1, 2020, November 2020. Patients had positive RT-PCR test information HIMS database included study. Blood groups, age, gender recorded on form.
 Results: The population consists 356 patients, which 171 women 185 men. There 94 people O group, A 48 B 29 AB 37 Rh-negative 319 Rh-positive group. When mortality status examined, it observed that less mortal men (p= 0.002).
